Tasty Tuesday: Cheeseburger Casserole

Our Tasty Tuesday recipe this week is classic summer grill fare for the winter months: Cheeseburger Casserole. I saw this recipe on a commercial recently, so when I saw it floating around Pinterest, I knew I had to try it! Todd is the ultimate cheeseburger lover, so I knew he would be game. Here is the link to the original recipe: Cheeseburger Casserole. The only change I made to the recipe was to add mustard. What's a good cheeseburger without mustard right?!

Once again, this is not a healthy recipe. We DO cook healthy meals most nights, but it seems the ones that make Tasty Tuesday have been of the unhealthy, comfort food variety! I will make sure to showcase some healthy meals around here soon. This recipe called for American cheese. American cheese .. especially the plastic-y kind that we used .. is NOT my favorite. In fact, it kind of grosses me out. However, in this recipe it worked!

You simply combine all of the ingredients in the pan, cook, and add to a quiche/pie dish. Then you top it with crescent rolls and the rest of the cheese.

Then into the oven it goes. Be prepared for the house to smell delicious!! This really smelled like a cheeseburger!

I really liked this. Todd LOVED it! He raved about it. I would definitely recommend it as an easy alternative to cheeseburgers during the cold months. This recipe could not have been simpler. It was a quick and delicious dinner.
