Our first beach themed activity was a super simple Beach in a Bottle sensory bottle!
All you need to recreate this sensory bottle is craft sand, seashells, an empty bottle, and glue for the cap. I used an empty coffee creamer container that Glam*Ma saved for us. I poured the entire container of sand in and added some interesting and differently colored shells. Then I glued the cap shut.
I love how the bottle looks tilted on its side! It is such an easy, but appealing bottle to create. I sat K on the floor and handed it to him. This was the first sensory bottle I have made in awhile, so he was excited to see what was inside.
He peered inside, and I explained to him what the contents were. Then he started shaking it up. This is his favorite thing to do with all of his sensory bottles. The sand made a beautiful sound running over the shells.
He had a good laugh at those silly shells inside!
He spent the rest of his beach bottle exploration rolling the bottle around the floor and watching the shells appear in the sand.
Kingston will explore this bottle with his other beach-y things over the next week or so. This is definitely a great sensory bottle to recreate. It is simple, beautiful, and fun to shake! It also makes a great eye-spy bottle!
Adorable as always!
