HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I am so excited to take Kingston's out for his first official night of Trick or Treating! Here is one final Halloween activity that we did this week: a Fine Motor Spider Pull!
This activity was literally as simple as opening a couple bags. I picked up a bag of spiders and spider webs
and added a few glow in the dark spiders
. I simply opened them, buried some of the spiders, placed some of the black ones on top for high contrast and intrigue, and set the babies loose on it!
I made sure that the spiders legs were embedded well in the spider web, so that they could exercise their fine motor skills when they strategically plucked them out of the web!
They went right to work plucking each of the spiders out of the web. Some of them were easier than others, and some took quite a bit of work to free!
(Hey, back off those spiders!)
I loved watching them engage in teamwork and problem solving skills as they worked to find and free the spiders. They were so cute in super concentration mode! Their faces were so serious until they got one loose, and then they would laugh and clap.
Livvy got so excited every time she pulled one free!
We hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!! :)
