After perusing this awesome app, I was instantly drawn to this fun Pipe Cleaner prompt. This classic fine motor activity is incredibly easy to set up, and has provided us with hours of fun play and learning.

As mentioned in the prompt, I set out a pile of pipe cleaners and a colander. Then I demonstrated for Kingston how to insert the pipe cleaners into the holes. He was immediately intrigued by the activity and set to work exercising his fine motor skills. This activity also exercises hand-eye coordination, problem solving skills, and requires your little one to focus on the task at hand. K was very successful pushing the pipe cleaners in, and he loved the activity. I loved watching him enjoy himself. His little face was so focused throughout. 

As he worked, we chatted about the colors of the pipe cleaners. He named the colors as he put each one into the holes.

He continued with the activity for quite a while, putting the pipe cleaners in and taking them all out to start over again. This is a phenomenal activity for your little one to do while you make dinner or when you need something to keep them focused and busy.
