It's that time of month again! Baby Book Club time! This month we read Little Blue Truck
and Little Blue Truck Leads the Way
. Kingston absolutely loves these books, so we knew when we compiled our book list that we wanted to share them with our friends. We had 6 little friends at book club today, and we all gathered around to read our stories.
After we read, we snacked on "Little Blue Truck Brownies". I made these using the truck cookie cutter from Wilton 101 Piece Cookie Cutter Set
. We also had fruit salad (which is what most of the kiddos opted for), munchkins, and more!
K enjoyed trying his first munchkin!
The kiddos enjoyed munching on their snacks before we geared up to do our project.
Today we did a fine motor craft that K and I have been enjoying a lot recently - pom pom painting! Using white cardstock
and permanent marker
, I cut out truck shapes and then drew on all of the details. I think they turned out pretty well considering I am NOT an artist. Each of the kids got a couple clothespins
with white pom poms
attached and a plate of blue washable paint
to dip. Each kiddo worked to paint their blue truck using their pom pom and clothespin apparatuses. Even our littlest member, Baby E, joined in the crafting fun today!
When the trucks were dry, each parent cut out the window hole and placed their child's picture inside! They are such adorable little keepsakes.
Join us next month when we read One Duck Stuck

DeleteI LOVE all your baby book club ideas! I am getting ready to go pin every single one of them to do with my 16 month old. I really struggle finding stuff for her to do (mostly because she is the youngest of three and the other 2 want to do everything as well so it's hard to find something fun for my baby AND my 4 year old) and your ideas are just perfect. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you so much Meg!! I really appreciate your comment!! You made my day. I'm so glad that these posts are helpful! :)
