Welcome to day 2 of the Holiday Print Art series! If you missed yesterday's post, I am teaming up with Jaime of Frogs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails to bring you an awesome series filled with print art crafts for you to do with your little ones this holiday season. Today we are bringing you a classic Christmas tree handprint craft with a fine motor twist. (It IS Fine Motor Fridays after all!)
To make our tree, we printed Kingston's hand using green washable paint
. Usually we use ink in our print crafts, but I wanted the tree to look more natural and not so much like handprints specifically. Paint worked perfectly. Once dry, I used a brown crayon
to color a tree stump. The I gave K a handful of brightly colored pom poms
. Together, we squeezed glue
dots all over the tree. Then Kingston placed the pom poms on the glue dots to represent ornaments. He was very particular and asked me several times to put glue in specific places. I love how into his crafts he is!
