Tape Resist Christmas Presents

(This post contains affiliate links for your convenience.)

The magic is in the air, and we have been running around beginning our Christmas season prep! The tree is up, the Christmas advent books are wrapped, the elf gifts have been distributed, and we are enjoying some serious Christmas crafting. Today we are bringing you an awesome series from the fantastic bloggers from All Things Kids! If you are looking for some awesome Christmas themed crafts and activities, you have come to the right place.

For our first official Christmas craft of the season, we made tape resist Christmas presents!! These are so incredibly simple to make, but really look adorable displayed on a window. Simple and cute is the best when it comes to making craft with your toddler! To start, cut some white cardstock into square and rectangular shapes. Heights and sizes may vary! Then place two strips of masking tape down the middle like a plus sign. A few squirts of washable fingerpaint and you're in business! Kingston requested a paintbrush, but your little one can use their fingers too!

We painted the gifts in red and green. After they dried (and it is IMPERATIVE that you wait for it to dry in tape resist painting), we pulled off the tape. I let Kingston stick on some white gift bows which made them look like perfect little presents!

I absolutely love how they look in our window overlooking the snowy landscape!
