Twas the Night Before Christmas Mouse Footprint Craft

(Affiliate links included for your convenience!)

Welcome to the Holiday Print Art series! I am teaming up with our buddy Jaime over at Frogs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails for a holiday series featuring one of our very favorite art forms: Print Art! We are constantly posting print crafts at the same time, or we have similar ideas that we want to do, or we are just loving on each others crafts. So, since the holidays are the most exciting time for print craft fun, we thought it would be fitting to do our print crafts together this year!

The first print craft on my list was an adorable footprint craft based off the classic poem The Night Before Christmas

Our favorite version of Twas the Night Before Christmas is this awesome sound version from Usborne (though I bet you knew there would be an Usborne favorite in here!) It has an entire side panel full of magical Christmas sounds to accompany the classic tale.

To make this print craft, we used a piece of white cardstock, My First ColorBox Inkpads, Silver , metallic silver marker, and pink and black markers.

I covered K's foot in silver ink and printed it onto the paper. Using the silver metallic marker, I drew a tail and some circular ears. Then I filled in the centers with pink, gave the mouse a pink nose, and drew the eyes and whiskers in black. Then I wrote the mouse verse from the poem on the opposite side of the paper.

This craft has been on our holiday list for the past couple years now, so I am so excited to have finally gotten it done! It is super simple and is going to look really cute framed and hung up each holiday season. Don't forget to write your little ones age and the year on the back. This is such an adorable keepsake.

Now, head on over to check out the Reindeer Footprint art over at Frogs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails! Stay tuned throughout the rest of the week when we will each be posting a new print craft each day.
